Finance & Operations Specialist - Hybrid – 1 day/week on-site

We’re looking for a hands-on Finance & Operations Specialist to take ownership of bookkeeping and day-to-day financial operations in a small U.S. entity of an international medical company.

You’ll be the go-to person for everything related to finance — from managing QuickBooks and handling invoices to supporting operational processes and coordinating with international stakeholders.

This is a hybrid role, with flexibility to work remotely and 1 day per week on-site in Wake Forest, NC.

🔧 What you’ll be doing

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks (GL, P&L, balance sheet accuracy)

• Process incoming and outgoing invoices, payments, and collections

• Monitor cash flow and ensure timely financial operations

• Oversee order intake and support end-to-end order processing

• Maintain Shopify and ensure proper integration with QuickBooks

• Coordinate with external tax advisors / CPA

• Monitor and respond to finance-related email accounts (customers, suppliers, warehouse)

• Handle weekly physical mail, including checks and related admin tasks

✅ What we’re looking for

• 3–5 years of hands-on QuickBooks experience (daily use)

• Strong bookkeeping knowledge (GL, P&L, invoicing, reconciliation)

• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of finance processes

• High attention to detail and reliability

• Fluent English

• Ability to be on-site once per week in Wake Forest, NC

➕ Nice to have

• Experience with Shopify or similar platforms

• Background in small companies or standalone finance roles

• Experience in regulated industries (e.g. medical devices)

❌ Not the right fit if

• You don’t have hands-on QuickBooks experience

• You prefer highly specialized roles (e.g., only FP&A, only AP/AR)

• You’re looking for a fully remote position

• You’re not comfortable working independently in a one-person finance role
